I haven’t been faithful in blogging and many of you think that all I do all day is surf the internet for humorous videos. Let it be known that most (if not all) of the funny videos I post are sent to me, not found by me. But I have to take credit for the following video post. Courtney and I were watching TV and saw this commercial a few days ago. It could easily be an SNL skit with very little changes! And, I will post something more substantial in the coming days!
Anyway…I give you “The Snuggie.”
Warning: After the video, youtube offers “related” video clips to the one you just viewed. Unfortunately, the related videos cannot be controlled (to the best of my knowledge) and sometimes can offer offensive content. One of the “related” videos that is offered after the “snuggies” video uses profanity, for which I apologize. I recommend that you do not use the “related” video suggestions for your internet surfing. If anyone knows how I can control the “related” video content, please let me know.
But if you do, there may be hope for you yet! I provide this post strictly because of the oddness factor of the website I will link you to. Honestly, this site is so odd, you would think it would be something created by The Onion or Lark News. Anyway…It’s call youvebeenleftbehind.com. The idea is that you can join, create emails to your friends and family who are not yet followers of Jesus, and the emails will be sent to them 6 days after the rapture occurs. Wow. That’s weird. A friend, Janene, sent me this link with a story behind the website.
My first thought about the website was, “How will these emails know to be sent after the rapture?” Do they have a non-Christian on staff that will still be around to send all the emails? Then, after a few seconds of preusing (sp?) the site, I discovered that they created a system where if 3 of the 5 team members fail to login on any particular day, that would indicate that the rapture has happened and the system would then wait three days (to be on the safeside) and then send the emails! Fail proof!
What an idea! I don’t think I’m going to join ($40 a year).
Thanks again, Janene, for letting me know about this site!
Watch the video. You’ll understand. There needs to be a “Craftsman Tool” mandle.
Many of you have already seen this, but for the rest of you, I present, Sonseed:
I hope you’ve heard of Billy Graham. If you haven’t, you can ignore this post. Apparently Billy turns 90 on November 7. His son, Franklin, has set up a website for people to send him a note to express appreciation for his work, especially if you’ve been impacted by his ministry. So, if you fit the profile, go to www.billygraham90.com to send him a message.
I read this story today on Alastairs blog. Very Funny.
Young Paddy, bought a Donkey from a farmer for 100 Euros. The farmer agreed to deliver the Donkey the next day. The next day he drove up and said, ‘Sorry son, but I have some bad news, the donkey died.’
Paddy replied, ‘Well, then just give me my money back.’
The farmer said, ‘Can’t do that. I went and spent it already.’
Paddy said, ‘Ok, then, just bring me the dead donkey.’
The farmer asked, ‘What are ya gonna do with him?
Paddy said, ‘I’m going to raffle him off.’
The farmer said, ‘You can’t raffle off a dead donkey!’
Paddy said, ‘Sure I can. Watch me. I just won’t tell anybody he’s dead.’
A month later, the farmer met up with Paddy and asked, ‘What happened with that dead donkey?’
Paddy said, ‘I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two Euros a piece and made a profit of 898 Euros.’
The farmer said, ‘Didn’t anyone complain?’
Paddy said, ‘Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two Euros back.’
Paddy now works for the Irish Government.
Ever since I posted about praying for Kristi, I’ve gotten a ton of hits on my blog from people doing searches for info and my blog comes up first on Google. So, I want to provide anyone out there with better info than my previous blog post. I am so grateful for the amount of concern which I believe is being translated to prayer for Kristi. Thank you all for praying.
Anyway…the best way to keep up with what is happening with Kristi, so you can pray more informed, is to join www.carepages.com. Once you sign up, do a search for kristiwalker (one word, all lower case) and you should find a link to her page. Please do pray and spread the word for others to pray. Miracles still happen today. I sincerely believe my good health is a miracle of modern medicine and prayer from when I went through Guillaine-Barre Syndrome and was paralyzed from the waist down. I might have died in ICU if not for the wisdom of my doctors, my prescribed treatment, and the prayers of hundreds of people, if not a thousand or more.
Also, my wife gave me the fuller version of how she knows Kristi, as I have been reporting erronously that they went to high school togther. They actually know each other from church as Courtney is a little older than Kristi. Courntey knows her parents better as they were senior high Sunday School teachers for Courtney.
Finally, I know this seems dumb, but I thank God that this morning after sharing a prayer time with a church member, as I drove away, I turned on a street named “Winters Walk” and knew it was a sign to pray for Kristi. My prayers are with her and her family.
While I was a short-term missionary in Mtwara, Tanzania, I was introduced to an Indian food called samosas. I think they are suppose to be an appetizer, but John (my cohort) and I would eat them 10-12 at a time.
Anyway…the best samosa’s are filled with beef and onion and other seasonings like garlic. Some are made with potatoes instead of meat. Here are some pictures Courtney took during our latest attempt to make them. These turned out the best of any other attempts we’ve made!
